United States (U.S.) Citizen
If you are a citizen of the United States you do not need to provide any additional paperwork.

Permanent U.S. resident card holder
If you are a permanent resident card holder of the United States you do not need to provide any additional paperwork.

Wishing to study full-time in the U.S. on a student visa
If you wish to come to the U.S. to study full-time on an F1 visa you must submit the following:
- Application for undergraduate or graduate admission
- Completed and signed form number 656, Declaration and Certification of Finances Form (DCF)
- Copy of identity page of your passport
- Original financial documents covering all expenses for one academic year, as listed on the DCF

The following program has different admissions requirements. Visit the program page to learn how to apply:
Currently attending a U.S. institution on a student visa
If you are currently attending another U.S. institution on an F1 student visa, you must submit the following:
- Application for undergraduate or graduate admission
- Completed and signed form number 656, Declaration and Certification of Finances Form (DCF)
- Copy of identity page of your passport
- Original financial documents covering all expenses for one academic year, as listed on the DCF
- Copies of I-20’s from all schools previously attended
- Copies of front and back of I-94 card (if you are still in the U.S.)
- Copy of current visa stamp
- Copy of Employment Authorization Document (EAD) card (if applicable)

Transfer-In Notification Form(to be completed after acceptance)
- Complete Part I
- Current institution Designated School Official (DSO) must complete Part II and fax to Northeastern by the application deadline

The following program has different admissions requirements. Visit the program page to learn how to apply:
In the U.S. on a tourist visa
If you are currently in the U.S. on a tourist visa, you cannot take classes at the College of Professional Studies. If you wish to change to an F1 visa, you must leave the U.S. and apply for a new visa from outside of the United States.
In the U.S. on a visa permitting full/part-time study
If you currently have a visa of nonimmigrant status (e.g., L-2, J-2, , H-4, H1B, etc.), you must submit the following:
- Application for undergraduate or graduate admission

College of Professional Studies data form
- Copy of the identify page of your passport
- Copy of the visa page of your passport
- Copies of the front and back of your I-94 card
In the U.S. on visa not permitting full/part-time study
If you currently have a visa of nonimmigrant status that does allow for full- or part-time study, you must apply for a change of visa status to apply for and start your program.
