The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology program prepares you for a career in the high-demand field of electrical engineering. Explore electricity generation, transmission, and distribution, learn how to design and implement digital and analog circuits for telecommunications and signal processing, and discover how to solve technical problems.
This bachelor’s degree program—accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., allows you to focus your degree in electrical engineering by choosing from four specializations—analog systems, digital/embedded systems, electro-mechanical systems, power and alternative energy systems.
Who it’s for? The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering technology degree is well suited for students who are interested in medical electronics, automation, instrumentation, radar, and robotics. Potential careers include: electrical and electronic engineer; electrical, electronic, industrial, and mechanical technician or technologist; computer engineer, or technology sales.
What the job market looks like: Employment opportunities can be found in public and private research laboratories; engineering consulting firms specializing in industrial and plant applications; electric utilities; and organizations concerned with the operation, installation, or sale of electrical or electronic systems and equipment. In short, graduates of the electrical engineering technology program can pursue a range of careers—from electronic gaming to robotics.
