Cultural Anthropology: Kinship Societies

Offers students an opportunity to investigate the field of cultural anthropology, covering topics such as culture, culture theory, interaction, and relationships in prestate societies. Limits examination to foraging, pastoral, and horticultural groups and explores cultural bonds based on kinship, tribal, and chiefdom relationships to clarify the process of social interaction in prestate societies lacking codified rules.
