Offers students in the laboratory the opportunity to learn about proper experimental design and the limits of an experiment. Includes observing and testing the structure and function of unicellular organisms and the characteristics of biological molecules, measuring aerobic and anaerobic respiration rates, and observing cellular reproduction with a genetic analysis of a plant species and an animal species. Studies specialization of animal cells and ecological succession.
