Introduces metabolism and catabolic and anabolic pathways of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleotide metabolism. Discusses the importance of nutrition and how it affects metabolic pathways. Offers students an opportunity to understand genetic disorders and mechanisms of action of various drugs that affect these pathways. Prereq. BIO 4510.
