Organic Chemistry 2

Continues CHM 2010. Introduces chemical kinetics and reaction mechanisms, nucleophilic substitution reactions of alkyl halides and related compounds, the structure of benzene, electrophilic aromatic substitution reactions, as well as alcohol, diols, thiols, and organometallic compounds. The laboratory deals with the preparation and properties of compounds discussed. Prereq. CHM 2010.
