Laboratory for Organic Chemistry 1

Starting with the fall 2009 term, this course will be renumbered as CHM 2011.

In this laboratory, students will study crystallization, simple and fractional distillation, extraction techniques, thin-layer chromatography, properties of hydrocarbons and the synthesis of alkenes from alcohols.

Corequisite: CHM 4251 Organic Chemistry 1.
