Ethical Issues in Organizational Communication

Examines the ethical issues pertaining to communicating within complex organizations. Ethical choices affect how we communicate to internal audiences and the public. Discusses questions such as whether management should be transparent when communicating with members of an organization, or employ what has been referred to as “strategic ambiguity,” and whether members of an organization have an obligation to reveal or retain information for what is perceived as individual or organizational benefit. Prereq. CMN 1010.
