Global and Historical Perspectives on Higher Education

Provides an historical foundation for understanding how current trends in higher education are informed by ideas and practices from the past. Seminal theories of teaching and learning, benchmarks in the evolution of higher education, and changing notions about the purposes of higher education are compared cross-culturally over time. Students have an opportunity to gain a more sophisticated perspective on today’s changing landscape in higher education across the world. Prereq. EdD students only.
