Formerly ENG 4104.
Introduces the principles of structured writing with an emphasis on having a clear introductory focus, concrete support, and coherent organization. Emphasizes peer review and in-class writing. Offers students an opportunity to develop writing skills and prepare for college writing in their major. A writing diagnostic test is given at the first class meeting, and students complete a required proficiency examination at the end of the course.
