Introduction to AC Networks
ETE2101 / 3 q.h.
Formerly ETE 4304.
Uses the basic circuit laws and frequency domain methods to solve sinusoidal steady-state circuits. Explores RMS values of current and voltage, instantaneous and average power, and complex power. Introduces complex frequency/phasor algebra to explain the concept of impedance and frequency response. Analyzes network reduction by Y-Delta and Delta-Y conversions. Prereq. ETE 1103.
