AC Network Analysis
ETE2103 / 3 q.h.
Formerly ETE 4306.
Introduces the transmittal of power in AC circuits. Explores real and reactive power and how they are generated. The reduction of AC circuit losses and voltage drop are determined using the concept of power factor correction via capacitor utilization. Develops methods to control circuit voltage using the transformer. Explores the concept of three-phase power generation, utilization, and benefits. AC circuit lab experiments are performed. Prereq. ETE 2101.
