Applied Fluid Mechanics
ETM3303 / 3 q.h.
Formerly ETM 4537.
Presents applications of the principles of fluid statics and dynamics, including a review of design and engineering aspects of fluidic applications. Topics include fluid flow in pipe, friction losses, fluid energy, Bernoulli’s theorem, open channel flow. Reviews the basic design attributes of pumps and compressors. The fluid laboratory examines incompressible fluids. Prereq. ETM 3301.
