Introduction to Public History

Introduces the field of public history. Offers students an opportunity to develop research, analytical, writing, and speaking skills. Topics include the nature of museum work, public historical archiving, the construction of historical displays and exhibits, the preservation and restoration of historic sites and structures, the editing of historical documents and journals, the operation of historical societies, and the production of historical media programs.
