Focuses on advanced IP network design topics. Addresses both theoretical aspects, such as performance modeling and analysis, and practical considerations of implementing Internet protocols. Discusses transport layer flow and congestion control, scheduling and queue/buffer management, and routing strategies. Covers practical examples of TCP flavors (e.g., Reno, Tahoe, Vegas) and Internet routing protocols (e.g., RIP, OSPF, BGP).
