Uses VBScript and ADO (Active Data Object) techniques to connect to, update, and select information from databases, which is then displayed on customized, dynamic Web pages. Active Server Pages (ASP) is a technology that allows databases to be incorporated into Web pages. Topics include installing and configuring ASP and ADO components, recordsets, using SQL to insert and modify data, using cookies, and the use of stored procedures. Students should be familiar with HTML and relational databases and should have some exposure to a programming language. Prereq. ITC 3001.
