UNIX System Overview

ITC2610 / 3 q.h.
Formerly IT 4321.

Offers students an opportunity to learn to perform most routine user tasks in the UNIX operating system and develop a foundation for exploring more advanced topics. Covers starting and logging in to the system, manipulating files and directories, editing files, and printing. Students run applications and use various UNIX utilities, explore shell programming, and investigate the causes of common error messages. Prereq. ITC 3305.
