UNIX 2

ITC2615 / 3 q.h.
Formerly IT 4322.

Expands on UNIX skills covered in ITC 2610. Offers students an opportunity to learn techniques for searching files using the grep command and regular expressions. Students have an opportunity to create and enhance scripts using environment variables, conditionals, and looping logic; use utilities, such as sed (a stream editor) and awk (a complete programming language); and create archives of important files, customize their working environment, and explore Internet tools and advanced UNIX utility programs. Prereq. ITC 2610.
