Leadership Challenges in Jewish Education

Explores specific challenges that face leaders of Jewish educational institutions and how successful leaders confront them. Employs case studies that uncover the complex choices and responsibilities required of leaders in the field of Jewish education. Topics include educational vision and its implementation, integration of formal and experiential education, relations between professional leaders and board members, ethical dilemmas of leadership, communication management, and the creation of an educational culture. The cases are tailored to the specific settings (day school, supplemental school, adult education, camp, etc.) in which students work.
