Explores a variety of approaches to key philosophical issues such as causality, the nature of reality, personal identity, freedom, and determinism. Examines arguments that discuss broad ethical questions, such as how we know what is right; discusses the basic features of deontological and teleological ethics; and applies ethical theory to contemporary issues, such as how we weigh the rights of individuals against the good of society in particular situations.
