Physics 3

Starting with the fall 2009 term, this course will be renumbered as PHY 3101.

This course covers electric charge and fields, electric potential, cirect current circuits, magnetic forces and fields, electromagnetic induction, and alternating current circuits. Additional topics include electromagnetic induction and Faraday’s Law, electromagnetic waves, the nature of light and geometric optics.

Prerequisite: PHY 4131 General Physics 1
