Studies the role of the Supreme Court and examines a number of decisions affecting the scope of governmental authority and civil liberties. Considers the nature of civil liberties and the role of the constitution, courts, and political process in their evolution. Topics include presidential power, freedom of expression, prior restraints, the right to privacy, and equal protection.
