Presents statistical concepts for criminal justice, history, political science, and sociology majors. Social scientists need statistical research skills. Offers students an opportunity to develop proficiency with statistical terminology and applications. Topics include probability; sampling; the basic descriptive and inferential statistics, including measures of central tendency, measures of correlation, and tests of significance. Prereq. MTH 2002.
