Examines the role of logistics in a business context. Offers students an opportunity to learn to use various logistical methods and models to enhance the time and place utility of goods through the effective design and operation of distribution systems. Topics include transportation alternatives, inventory control, warehousing, location decisions, and setting customer standards. Uses contemporary problems and appropriate cases.
