Description Surveys evolving best practices in creative industry management. Begins with the recognition that managing in an environment of innovation and creative media requires a radical rethinking of traditional managerial paradigms. Agile response to technological change requires strategic alternatives in company goals, priorities, and direction. Intellectual content and creativity are difficult to value within classic financial models. New devices and social networks demand responsive action in internal and external communications. Correctly valuing the performance of highly creative people can be key in maintaining or gaining a leadership position. Uses case studies, presentations, and team-based analysis to examine these challenges and discuss effective responses.
