Program Evaluation and Assessment

Starting with the fall 2009 term, this course will be renumbered as EDU 6230.

Program evaluation and assessment is critical to quality assurance and continuous improvement. In this course, students will learn how to establish goals based on measurable outcomes and how to set benchmarks for performance measurement. Mechanisms that demonstrate value added are also important to organizations that sponsor training and development efforts. Students will learn how to demonstrate the impact of a program on an organization's bottom line. In addition, issues related to accreditation and other academic program reviews will be examined.
