Principles of Population-Based Management

Starting with the fall 2009 term, this course will be renumbered as HMG 6140.

Epidemiological analysis of health and health services with an emphasis on assessment of cost and benefits of population-based interventions. Special topics include community health assessments, the monitoring of community health indicators and the evaluation of community health improvement activities. Includes strategies for the analysis of potential and actual health-risk factors and the discovery and implementation of appropriate risk-reduction strategies.
