Global Pathways
Global Pathways offers you the opportunity to follow an academic preparation program that leads to an undergraduate or graduate degree at Northeastern University.
The Global Pathways Program offers specialized areas of academic study, intensive English language training, and academic skills preparation. You can concentrate your studies in one of three areas: Business and Social Sciences; Engineering, Math and Computer Science; and Physical and Life Sciences. Upon your successful completion of the program, you are admitted to your chosen undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Entrance Requirements
- Academic record equivalent to a GPA of at least 2.5
- High-intermediate to advanced level of English equivalent to iBT 52 for undergraduates and iBT 61 for postgraduates
Program Features
- Select from three entry points each year: Fall, Spring, and Summer
- Complete the program in one, two, or three semesters depending on you qualifications

US-Sino Pathway Program (USPP)
The US-Sino Pathway Program offers you a transition to an American university, where you will gain the skills and credentials that will increase your job marketability in Asia and worldwide.
The US-Sino Pathway Program (USPP) is offered by a consortium of leading American universities to provide a pathway for talented students to earn their undergraduate degree in the U.S. Upon successful completion of the program, you will gain guaranteed admission to a U.S. college, a year of course credits toward a bachelor’s degree, and comprehensive English language preparation.
The program begins in mainland China or Singapore, where you will complete general education coursework. Next, you will complete advanced coursework in the U.S. at a Summer Bridge program. When you successfully complete the program, you will have earned 32 to 33 credits and join your peers as a second-year student at one of the following partnering U.S. institutions:
- Northeastern University
- University of Vermont
- University of Utah
- Baylor University
- Marist College
- Stevens Institute of Technology
Entrance Requirements
- High School diploma, 2.5 GPA (Minimum GPA requirement may be higher for certain institutions' academic programs.)
- Residence in China or Singapore
