John Wolfe

Associate Teaching Professor

About

Born in Stockholm in 1946, Wolfe came to the United States with his parents in 1948; they were refugees. Undocumented, Wolfe had to leave the country at the age of 6 with his father for Canada in order to gain legal entry. Educated in the public schools of NYC, Wolfe attended Penn State (Class of '67), Bank Street College of Education (M.S. in Special Education) and Teachers College, Columbia University (EdD, Special Education). He has taught in the New York City and Boston public schools and was, for ten years, on the faculty at Bank Street College of Education.

Wolfe is an associate teaching professor in Foundation Year; he teaches courses to freshmen graduates of Boston public schools.
