Marissa LombardiMarissa Lombardi is an Assistant Teaching Professor and the concentration lead for Global Student Mobility in the Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations program. Her research interests include internationalization of the curriculum, international exchange, and intercultural competence assessment in higher education. She is co-author of the book In Their Own Voice: Intercultural Meaning in Everyday Stories and frequently presents at international education conferences such as the Forum on Education Abroad, the Alliance for International Education, and the Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research. Dr. Lombardi has also delivered a Harvard Medical School Residency Lecture Series on the topic of cultural competency in healthcare.

Previously, Dr. Lombardi served as dean of students at Lorenzo de’Medici Italian International Institute in Florence, Italy, where she was part of a senior leadership team responsible for the oversight of campuses in Florence, Rome, Venice, and Tuscania. She also taught in the Global Studies Department at Bentley University. Dr. Lombardi has served as senior intercultural associate at the Interchange Institute and worked extensively as a cross-cultural consultant in both Italy and the United States.
