The Master Mentor certificate program prepares interpreters and interpreter educators to serve as "mentors" for interpreters at all skill levels. "Mentors" are those experienced interpreters who provide support and direction to newly graduating and less experienced interpreters, helping them make the transition from undergraduate education programs to the working environment.

This graduate certificate prepares individuals to offer expert input about levels of interpreting skills, direction for improvement, guidance in professional development, and knowledgeable advice about interpreting issues to the individuals they mentor.

Courses from this certificate may be applied toward the Adult and Organizational Learning or the Higher Education Administration specialization in the Master of Education degree.
