Dr. Alan Zaremba
Dr. Alan Zaremba is the Academic Director for CPS programs in Corporate and Organizational Communication and an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies. He earned his doctorate from the University of Buffalo and his undergraduate degree from the University of Albany.
Professor Zaremba has won the Northeastern University Excellence in Teaching award on two occasions, in 1984 and then again in 2003. Prior to coming to Northeastern he was a recipient of the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Zaremba was one of two alums in 2001 to receive his undergraduate alma mater’s excellence in education award.
In 2006 two of his books on organizational communication issues, Speaking Professionally and Organizational Communication were published by Thomson South-Western. In 2009, Dr. Zaremba’s most recent book describing sports subculture was published by the University of Nebraska Press. In addition to his work with CPS and the department of Communication Studies, Alan regularly conducts workshops for Northeastern’s College of Business Administration in their executive MBA programs. |
