The Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and graduates are eligible to apply for admission to the Entry Level Certified Respiratory Therapist Examination and the Advanced Level Registered Respiratory Therapist Examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Passing the NBRC exam and licensure by the Massachusetts Board for Respiratory Care is necessary for employment in Massachusetts. Northeastern University has had an excellent pass-rate on the entry level and advanced level examinations.
