The intent of the MS in Respiratory Care Leadership program is to provide a relevant, timely, and flexible program to enhance the knowledge base of practicing respiratory therapists. Northeastern University's MS in Respiratory Care Leadership is designed to assist today's leaders and prepare emerging leaders in meeting future opportunities and challenges in healthcare.
This program incorporates an action-learning approach that is intended to leverage the various backgrounds of students to help build leadership competencies and increase their knowledge of respiratory care leadership. Students in this program may apply any successfully completed College of Professional Studies graduate certificate in healthcare management, nonprofit management, regulatory affairs, clinical design and project management, higher education administration, or adult and organizational learning to the overall program requirements and focus their studies on respiratory care leadership.
This program is especially designed for those who wish to assume managerial positions within their healthcare organizations, or who desire to return to academia to teach respiratory therapy. While leadership skills are stressed, the program also provides a strong overview in a number of areas critical to the well-rounded development of the respiratory care professional. Designed to meet the needs of the working professional, there are multiple points of entry throughout the year.
