Four CPS master’s degrees to be offered in Charlotte

On Monday, October 31, 2011, Northeastern University opened a campus in Charlotte, North Carolina, part of the university’s announced regional campus initiative. The Charlotte campus will offer students the opportunity to pursue degrees from four of Northeastern’s colleges – the Bouve College of Health Sciences, the College of Computer and Information Sciences, the College of Business Administration, and the College of Professional Studies.

The College of Professional Studies (CPS) is represented by four master’s degrees: Master of Education, Master of Science in Leadership, Master of Science in Project Management, and Master of Sports Leadership to be offered on the Charlotte campus beginning Monday, January 9, 2012. Courses will be offered in a hybrid format, combining online and classroom instruction tailored to meet the needs of working professionals. Northeastern faculty members will teach courses both at the regional campus and online. In a planned second phase, Northeastern will expand its offerings to include additional professional degrees.

Information Sessions in Charlotte

Information sessions for prospective students will be offered prior to the start of the winter term. Degree program representatives, faculty, and admission contacts will be on-site to provide details on the programs, curriculum, and admission criteria and process. All sessions will be held at the Charlotte campus, located at 101 North Tryon Street, Suite 1100. Listed below are the dates and times for the four programs mentioned above.

Master of Sports Leadership – Thursday, November 10, 6:00 PM

Master of Science in Leadership – Tuesday, November 15, 6:00 PM

Master of Education – Wednesday, November 16, 6:00 PM

Master of Science in Project Management – Wednesday, November 16, 12:00 PM
