BOSTON-AREA COMMUNITY MEMBERS:

 

The PfP research team is currently working with law enforcement and the community in the Greater-Boston Area on developing a joint leadership working group in order to help institutionalize communication.  An Executive Session of this Working Group was held on September 9, 2004 and was attended by a number of community leaders and law enforcement executives.  This was followed by a Community Forum on November 18, 2005.  At this Forum, local Muslim, Arab, and Sikh community members began developing an agenda of items that can be addressed with law enforcement during upcoming sessions of the joint leadership working group. This forum was open to all interested members of the local Muslim, Arab, and Sikh communities and was very well attended.

 

 

On December 1, 2004, PfP hosted a law enforcement forum similar to the community forum where representatives began developing a list of action items.  The next Working Group meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2005 and will be attended by both community and law enforcement representatives.
