Promising Practices Guide

Projects

In January of 2006 Professor Deborah Ramirez, Executive Director of PfP, received funding from the National Institute of Justice to conduct a case study of community/law enforcement partnerships in London, prior to and since the 7/7 bombings.  In May, she will travel to London for a week of community and law enforcement focus groups and interviews.  The following questions will be explored:  What community infrastructure was in place prior to the attack?  In hindsight, what infrastructure might have been beneficial, had it existed on 7/7?  What kind(s) of infrastructure might have better facilitated the post-7/7 investigation?  Findings will be compiled this summer and a report will be posted on this website.

In May of 2004, PfP published the Promising Practices Guide for Developing Relationships Between Law Enforcement and American Muslim, Arab, and Sikh Communities.  Since then, PfP has published three additional case studies which are available on this site.
