Basics of American Sign Language

This course introduces students to the basics of American Sign Language for students wishing to gain a basic understanding of the language or as a refresher course in American Sign Language. This course cannot be used toward credit in any of the University College American Sign Language Certificates.
Introduction to the Deaf-Blind Community

This course explores the lives and lifestyles of people who are Deaf-blind, and it provides an overview of the types and causes of Deaf-blindness, the implications for communication, mobility, and daily living along with the physical, sociopolitical, ethical, and linguistic issues inherent in interacting with Deaf-blind people.
Prerequisite: ASL 4101 American Sign Language 1. |
