This evening course is designed for students who have little or no prior ESL experience. The course will focus on basic vocabulary and grammar for everyday situations. By the end of the course, students should be able to follow simple spoken instructions, talk about themselves, their families and friends, talk about interests, possessions and feelings, make arrangements and decisions, invite, accept, apologize and respond, express basic wants and needs, and exchange simple opinions about classroom topics.
Intermediate ESL
ESL 4300 / 0 q.h.

This evening course is offered to students who have a basic knowledge of English and want to improve their skills. This course will review basic grammar structures and build on them. Emphasis will be on vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking skills. It is designed to improve fluency and overall English communication skills. This class will emphasize the ability to understand and express ideas with grammatical accuracy.
Advanced ESL
ESL 4500 / 0 q.h.

Boston MW 6:00 PM-9:00 PM
This evening class focuses on vocabulary expansion, pronunciation, idioms, cultural discussions and current events. Emphasis will be placed on promoting fluency and ability using all grammar functions. It is designed to help meet with academic and professional needs through discussion, presentations, reading, vocabulary, grammar and writing. |
