Introduction to Nursing Research

This course provides an overview of the research process and its application in clinical arenas. Special attention is directed to the role of the health professional as a consumer of research, with concern for the ethical management and treatment of patients and their families. Elements of research design and their implications in clinical settings provide the framework for the analysis of research and the development of a research proposal. Emphasis is placed on the use of research findings for evidence-based practice.
Prerequisites: NUR 4403 Professional Transitions in Nursing, ECN 4251 Statistics 2, and ENG 4106 College English Workshop. Open only to nurses. |
