Advanced Principles of Security Management and Threat Assessment

This course will take an advanced approach to management and administrative theory as it relates to private security operations and practices, with an emphasis on threat assessment in the post 9/11 environment. A particular focus of the course will be the new responsibilities of security management professionals with regard to their response to terror and a changed threat environment.
Youth Justice and Crime

This course will examine the social conditions that generate delinquency and the legal practices intended to control it. Through the discussion of recent research, legislation, and policy documents, students will be encouraged to consider the response of the criminal justice agencies to youth crime as well as assess the role of the family, the school and the community in preventing and controlling juvenile delinquency. |
