About

Born in Cottbus, Germany; emigrated to United States at age of three. Grew up outside Philadelphia; graduated from The Haverford School. Attended Harvard University, earning AB, MA, and PhD degrees. Did post-doc in Anatomy and Cell Biology at Boston University School of Medicine. Has taught at Northeastern as adjunct Lecturer/Senior Lecturer since 1978. Held position for six years as Cardiovascular Technologist at Boston University Medical Center and another six years as computer programmer at Hologic, Inc, and Second Wind, Inc. Married to Judith Pariseau since 1985; no children, but many furry creatures.

Professional Experience

Taught various lecture and laboratory biology and health science courses to undergraduate nursing, radiologic technology, and biology day and evening-division college students. Courses included Biology (general biology and animal biology), Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microscopic Anatomy, Human Cross-Sectional Anatomy, Computer Literacy, and Critical Thinking in Biology. Also developed and taught courses to undergraduates in Field Botany, elementary Mathematics, and New German Cinema.
