Dr. Caryl Ann Tolchinsky joined Northeastern University in 2010 and is currently the Director of Student Success and Learning Excellence at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD). She works with course directors, faculty, personnel and other university departments to ensure the academic success, educational and personal development of all MD students. She provides assistance related to learning skills, study strategies, assessment of learning styles, time management, and test preparation on an individual and group basis. Prior to joining NSU MD, she served as NSU’s Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services as part of the department’s senior staff with oversight of academic services for all of NSU’s 16 Division II sports. Dr. Tolchinsky worked with coaches, student-athletes, athletic personnel and other University departments to ensure the academic success, educational and personal development of all student-athletes. Dr. Tolchinsky has presented at academic conferences across the country. Currently, she is a member of the Medical Education Learning Specialists (MELS), the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), and the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA).
