David Mahoney is an assistant teaching professor in the Master of Science in the Regulatory Affairs of Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices program. He has taught at Northeastern since 2012.

David has practiced law since 2002, focusing on intellectual property, corporate and regulatory law in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and agricultural industries. He currently serves as senior corporate counsel at Indigo Ag, Inc., drafting and negotiating agreements on licensing, services, compliance, and joint research. 

David’s prior positions have included serving as U.S. General Counsel for Lion Bioscience, Inc. (later renamed Sygnis Pharma) as well as U.S. General Counsel for Febit, Inc. an international biotechnology and scientific device company.  His professional experience  has also included  serving as legal counsel for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the Office of the General Counsel.  He teaches in Boston and online.
