Claire Jackson

Claire Jackson is a faculty member in the Graduate Education programs, including the Doctor of Education program and the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. Dr. Jackson’s research interests include the changing conceptions of learning and human development; negotiation, mediation, and arbitration; 21st-century skills; and community engagement.

Her recent publications include A Challenge to Change: The Language Learning Continuum and “Articulation and Achievement: Connecting Standards, Performance, and Assessment” in Foreign Language. Dr. Jackson is currently the interim assistant superintendent for the Bedford Public Schools, where she is responsible for curriculum development and publication as well as professional development.

Previously, Dr. Jackson served as the superintendent of schools in Sharon, MA, a district that was recognized by Standard and Poor’s as an “overachiever” in public schools for four consecutive years during her tenure. Since retirement from the public schools, Dr. Jackson has served in a number of interim superintendent positions, including Dover-Sherborn, Norfolk, and Bedford, Massachusetts.
