About

Pamela J. Wojnar is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Master of Sports Leadership program.

Dr. Wojnar brings over 25 years of experience as a practitioner in the sports industry and as an educator in the sports management discipline.  She has held positions such as athletic director, assistant athletic director, sports information director, head women’s basketball coach, assistant women’s volleyball coach, championships director, and compliance officer, at St. Mary's College of MD, Rosemont College, Wheaton College (MA), and Notre Dame of Maryland University. Prior to starting her career in athletics, she spent six years working in public relations for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.

Dr. Wojnar has been a leadership facilitator for the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Division III Student-Athlete Leadership Conference and has served on numerous NCAA, conference, and institutional committees, including the NCAA Research Committee and the Division III Women’s Basketball Committee. She has served on, and chaired the abstract review committee for the annual COSMA Conference, as well as the COSMA Conference planning committee. She represented the College of Professional Studies on the Senate Ad hoc Committee to Recommend Changes to the Faculty Senate Bylaws Regarding Composition of the Senate; and chaired the Faculty Academic Council ad hoc Bylaws Review Committee.
