Roy Wada is a Senior Health Data Scientist at Boston Public Health Commission. He has examined the hotspot detection of COVID-19 pandemic and the opiates incidents in the City of Boston. He led the development of the Boston COVID-19 dashboard as well as the Health of Boston dashboard. At Northeastern University, he has taught core curriculum for the Analytics domain in the College of Professional Studies as well as the Capstone courses. Previously he was public health researcher at University of Illinois at Chicago. He obtained his PhD in health economics from Georgia State University in 2007.
